What is not included with the Eastern New England District Program?

The ABC Supply Eastern New England District Program is a very inclusive program, but some things that would be at your expense include: spa and beauty services, concession-shop products, tours, excursions, car rentals, lessons, local/long distance calls, laundry service, dry clean service, gift shop purchases.

May I bring a guest?

Yes, you may bring an adult guest. Your guest is welcome at all group functions and activities.

Can children under 18 years of age attend?

The ABC Supply Eastern New England Region Customer Trip Program to Los Cabos is an adults-only program. Travelers must be at least 18 years of age at the time of travel. Children under the age of 18 are not invited to attend.

Will there be a mobile web app?

Yes! A few weeks prior to departure, you and your guest will be texted a link to the ABC Supply Eastern New England Region Customer Trip Program mobile web app. We suggest you bookmark or save the web app to the home screen of your mobile phone / tablet. During program registration, be sure to enter a unique email address and mobile phone number for your guest, so that he or she will have full access to the web app.

When can I register?

Online registration for qualifiers is scheduled to open September 2023.

When will we receive our travel document packets?

Your branch manager will receive your travel documents approximately three weeks before the program begins. Your branch manager will let you know when they are ready. 

What type of identification will I need?

All U.S. citizens must have a passport that is valid through your return travel date, but we recommend at least six months validity beyond travel dates. Airline tickets cannot be issued without each passenger's passport information.

Please note that first, middle, and last names on your airline ticket and your passport must match exactly. Any changes after ticketing may result in penalties. Non-U.S. citizens, please contact your consulate to determine your necessary documentation. The airlines will deny boarding without proper identification.

To obtain a new passport or to renew your passport, visit the passports page of the U.S. Department of State website. Passport applications should be expedited if applying less than three months prior to departure date. Don't delay! Passport processing is experiencing significant delays and may take as long as 17 weeks. If you choose to expedite your passport, this can still take up to 13 weeks. Travel with photocopies of your travel documents and identification in case the originals are lost or stolen. Leave a copy of these items at home as well.

Can the State Department assist me if I have an emergency while in Mexico?

Yes, the State Department's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service that allows U.S. citizens and nationals traveling abroad to enroll with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Benefits of enrolling include:

  • Receive important information from the Embassy about safety conditions in your destination country, helping you make informed decisions about your travel plans.
  • Help the U.S. Embassy contact you in an emergency, whether natural disaster, civil unrest, or family emergency.
  • Help family and friends get in touch with you in an emergency.

What flight options will I have?

Flight information will be emailed after you submit your completed registration. You must reply to the flight information email within 24 hours to confirm.

Please retain a copy of the email containing your flight itinerary. That will be the only confirmation of your air itinerary you will receive from Travel Headquarters. The confirmation number/record locator for your flights will be listed in the “Carrier Ref” area of your itinerary.

May I extend my travel?

Yes. You would be responsible for booking your own round-trip flights and would receive the branch credit, if eligible, in late-December.

May I extend my hotel stay?

You will be able to make this request during registration and a Travel Headquarters team member will contact you. Confirmation is based on hotel availability pre- & post-program.

Those looking to extend their stay at other properties must arrange this on their own.

What if I'd like to deviate from the group flight arrangements?

If you would like to deviate from the group flight arrangements or travel from a different airport, you are responsible for booking your own round-trip flights. This would include traveling before or after the group dates and any other changes to the ABC Supply Eastern New England Region 2024 Customer Trip Program.

Can I arrange my own air travel?

Yes. When you register, you must indicate that you plan to book your own air.

  • Airfare Reimbursement: Flights must be booked round-trip to receive the branch credit of up to $700 per person, but not more than the actual cost of your airfare. You are required to send a copy of your flight itinerary and receipt to ABCSupplyNortheast@proghq.com. If you arrange your own air, you are required to arrive with ample time to transfer to the resort for the 7 pm Welcome Event. 
  • Frequent Flyer Tickets and/or Upgrades: Plan to make your flight arrangements directly with your Frequent Flyer airline.
  • Transfers: If you will not be traveling on group dates, you will be responsible for making your own transfer arrangements to/from the resort.
Who should I contact if my flight is cancelled, or I miss my connection?
  • During business hours, you can contact the Air Team at 231-421-7217; press 2 for air.
    • Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Central Time, excluding major holidays.
  • If after business hours, call the same number; press 2 for air, and then press 1 to be connected to an after-hours agent. The agent will be able to provide advice/assistance depending on the situation.
Will airline baggage fees be reimbursed?

No, travelers are responsible for their own baggage fees.

What if I'd like Extra Legroom seats or Business Class on group flights?

The Travel Headquarters Air Team can assist with exit row, extra legroom, and business/first class. Requests for this assistance apply to group flights only and must be made at the time of registration.  

How and when will I receive my flight information?

Once you have submitted your registration, you will be booked and ticketed on the best available flights according to assigned airport and program schedule. The Travel Headquarters Air Team will contact you via email with your flight itinerary. You must reply to the email within 24 hours to confirm.

NOTE: If you select TBD for your guest, flight itineraries will not be sent for either traveler until your guest’s details are provided.

How will I get from the airport to the resort?

Round-trip airport transfers will be provided for all travelers arriving/departing on group dates. You will be greeted in the baggage claim area by travel staff with ABC Supply signage. They will assist with your luggage and show you to your vehicle.

Currency information

The Mexican Peso is Mexico’s official currency. Most vendors will accept U.S. dollars, but you may receive change in Mexican Pesos. We recommend you use your ATM card to receive Mexican Pesos at the official exchange rate. The resort will provide U.S. Dollar to Mexican Peso exchange services, subject to availability.

Check with your provider before travel to make sure their card is accepted in Mexico. Purchases made with credit cards will also be charged at the official exchange rate, which is often more favorable at the time of billing.

If you have not traveled recently, you may want to contact your credit card company and advise them that you will be traveling to Los Cabos, Mexico. As a security measure, credit card companies may put a hold on a card showing activity that does not follow your usual profile.

Electricity in Mexico

In the US, we use electricity rated at 120V and 60Hz. Mexico uses the U.S. standard. No adaptors or converters are needed. 

Can I drink the water at the resort?

The resort purifies all its water; however, a change in drinking water anywhere in the world can cause stomach distress. We recommend drinking bottled water when you travel. 

Can the Travel Headquarters team assist me with my special dietary and medical/health needs?

Yes. You may note any special needs during registration or by contacting Travel Headquarters.

Health insurance

We recommend checking with your health insurance provider to make sure they cover medical expenses in Mexico. Any treatment received while in Mexico must be paid at the time of service and filed with your insurance company when you return home. ABC Supply will be purchasing each qualifier and guest a Travelex Basic Group Policy. This does not cover program cancellation, but it will provide reimbursement for emergency medical and dental treatment, out of pocket expenses due to flight delay or interruption, baggage delay/loss expenses and other services. Be sure to keep all receipts when submitting a claim for reimbursement.

What is the time zone in Los Cabos?

Los Cabos is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone and does not observe Daylight Saving Time. During your stay, when it is 12 pm in Pennsylvania, it is 10 am in Los Cabos.

What will the weather be like during the program?

January is a great time to visit Mexico, with temperatures ranging from a nighttime low of 60 degrees to a daytime high of 80 degrees. 10-Day Forecast

What type of clothing should I pack?

Attire at the resort is casual. Daywear would include cool, comfortable clothes, flip flops, bathing suit, shorts, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Dressier attire is more appropriate in the evening and the Welcome and Farewell Dinner, including collared shirts for men, sundresses or nice blouses and shorts for women. Specific attire guidelines will be included in your travel documentation and in the program's mobile web app.

Does the resort provide complimentary Wi-Fi?

Wireless high-speed internet access is available at no charge in all guest rooms and throughout the resort. 

What additional activities are available at the resort?

The Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos has plenty of activities to keep you occupied during your stay! From a sea-level golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus to the exclusive SOMMA WineSPA and yoga classes.
